It was such a pleasure to head over to Endeavour, the headquarters of the 1st Godstone Scout Group, to see the restoration work that took place last year.
Scout leaders Mark, Claire and Steve dug out the archive with lots of photos of the building being built in 1937 - and I had the privilege of being made an honorary Scout!
The crest on the front of the building was repainted in its glorious original colours by local artist and former Scout James Stevens.
The restoration is beautifully sympathetic and serves as a wonderful reminder of our local Scouting heritage.
