As some of you may know, Storm Eunice is expected to arrive in Britain tomorrow.
The Met Office has issued an amber warning for us here in the South East, which will be in place from 5am to 9pm tomorrow.
This means they are expecting extremely strong winds which could cause significant disruption, including power cuts, travel delays, and mobile coverage outages.
I have received an update from UK Power Networks and am pleased to report that they have extra staff in their call centres and more engineers on the ground to support any local residents whose electricity supply might be affected.
If you do experience a power cut in the next few days, you can visit their website or call 105 free of charge for the latest updates or to report a power cut/damage.
UK Power Networks are advising residents to stay clear of power lines and to report damaged power lines immediately by calling 105.
If you see electricity lines that are down or causing significant risk, you are advised to call 999.
They are also providing extra help to customers on their Priority Service Register.
Households with older or disabled people, those with children under five, or where someone uses medical or mobility equipment that requires electricity, as well as other reasons, can join the register by clicking here.
As ever, if you need my help please do contact me at [email protected].
