As part of my Greentember pledge to only shop for second-hand clothes this month, I'm really pleased to be backing Oxfam's Second-Hand September campaign.
Across the country, we send a whopping 336,000 tonnes of clothing to landfill every single year. If we donated or recycled these clothes instead of throwing them away, each of us could save the same greenhouse gas emissions as driving a car for 800,000 miles.
And buying second-hand isn't only environmentally friendly, it's bank account friendly too! The jacket I'm wearing below was £5 from eBay, the shoes were £7 from eBay, the bag was £8 from eBay, the necklace was £4 from a charity shop, and the dress is ten years old and has been darned twice.
