I am delighted to share that the Surrey Hills has been chosen as one of four sites to be formally reviewed by Natural England, which means we're one step closer to securing the extension of the AONB boundary.
We're so lucky in East Surrey to have this beautiful landscape on our doorstep, which is why making progress on this has been one of my top priorities over the past year and something I've been working on closely with the Surrey Hills AONB Board, other Surrey MPs, and Government Ministers.
On a national level, this extension would contribute towards the Government’s pledge to protect and improve 30 per cent of our land for nature by 2030.
