I am very disappointed to hear about the announced closure of Lloyds Bank in Caterham next year.
As the last remaining bank branch serving the local community and businesses within the town, I know that this will be a real loss for many.
I have written to Lloyds to express my concerns and request further details about the decision. I have been in contact with Cash Access UK who have confirmed that they will be bringing a Banking Hub to Caterham. This will include a counter service for everyday cash transactions alongside a community banker service where customers will be able to speak face-to-face with their own bank or building society about more complicated matters.
I have asked for confirmation that this service will be open before the Lloyds Bank closes its doors for the final time next year.
