One of the great joys of my role as an MP is visiting our amazing local schools, and earlier this month I visited Oakhyrst Grange School in Caterham.
I had a good grilling from the students on politics and gave them a taste of the Commons in an impromptu PMQs style debate session. I was pleased that the Leader of the Opposition was found to have made the most convincing argument for ‘the House believes we should paint the school red’ although it was well debated on both sides.
I was also lucky enough to catch a glimpse of their nativity show. I could see how much work had gone into the many performances.
Thank you again to Headteacher Mr. Gear and team for such a festive visit.
