Your Fund Surrey – a scheme designed to give power and influence to local communities across the county – is still open for submissions. I know that many of you have already put forward some fantastic ideas, so please do share this with anyone who you think may be interested.
£100 million has been set aside to fund project ideas submitted by Surrey residents and community groups. Whether it’s new community sports pitches, ways to rejuvenate the high street, expanding charity premises, a new community centre, or a new urban beach or playground – the more ambitious, the better.
Ideas can be plotted on an interactive online map, with people able to comment, make further suggestions or simply give project ideas a thumbs up.
Projects that meet the criteria and prove they will deliver a positive benefit for local people will be taken through an application process and the first funding will be administered this spring.
