Today I spoke to Tom Kelly, Director of Operations, and Rob Beasley, Head of Communications at SES Water. They are making progress on investigating the conditions behind the precautionary boil notice which is affecting Oxted and surrounding areas.
They are expecting a final update tomorrow but encourage residents to continue to boil their water as a precaution until that time.
We discussed the importance of strong communications particularly for vulnerable residents, and making sure this situation does not happen again. A full investigatory report will be lodged with the Drinking Water Inspectorate.
