Many of you have got in touch with me recently about the changes Govia Thameslink Railway (GTR) have made to their timetables, especially with respect to services between East Grinstead and London Bridge.
I met with four members of the train operator last Friday - the Network Operations Director, Train Services Director, Public Relations and a stakeholder manager - alongside the Deputy Leader of Surrey County Council Cllr Becky Rush and Cllr Lesley Steeds.
They explained that the changes are temporary and will be reviewed on a weekly basis. We impressed upon them how important these services are for local residents, particularly at those peak, rush-hour moments.
