It has been brought to my attention that SES Water is advising customers in and around Oxted to boil their tap water after tests showed that water supplies could be affected by the bacteria E-coli.
You can read their statement by clicking here. I have discussed the situation with the MP for Sevenoaks whose constituents are also affected. We are seeking an urgent meeting with SES Water and the Minister for Ofwat to gain some clarity and raise residents’ concerns.
I know this will be distressing and frustrating for many of you. In the meantime please do have a good read of SES Water’s advice on how to keep your drinking water safe until they have completed their investigation.
