Happy World Electric Vehicle Day!
This is quite timely because one of my Greentember pledges is to use a more environmentally friendly mode of transport.
When I've had to go into Westminster, I've walked up the hill, taken the bus and caught the train to get in. Yes it takes a bit longer, but if we could all do some of our journeys - not all but some - in a green way, it would make a huge difference.
I was also really excited to try out a new hydrogen car recently. A huge thank you to Jon for giving me such an immense education into where we are with hydrogen transport and to Barney for organising the experience. From the smaller battery size to the water emissions, this is clearly an exciting potential way for us to have greener travel.
It was also brilliant to find out we have a hydrogen fuelling system in Gatwick. I know from my recent conversations with local businesses that there is a need for more electric vehicle chargers locally, so I will be looking at that as well.
