I was so pleased to visit Charlie and Rebecca at Long Acres Camping & Caravanning to see how they’re drawing visitors from all over the country to make the most of the environmental treasure chest we have here in East Surrey.
It’s wonderful to have such a successful family-run business locally – you can really see the care that has been put into the site over the generations, and it was great to hear about plans to expand and include a children’s play centre for the community and a farm shop for local produce.
This is alongside a bunch of rewilding projects, including restoring native woodland, scrubs and wildflower meadows to give back to nature and create wildlife corridors throughout the park.
