Claire Coutinho, MP for East Surrey, today applauds the efforts of Boo’s Pad as the dog groomer bounces back from lockdown.
Located on Warlingham Green, Boo’s Pad provides the highest quality of groom to every single dog ensuring their health and welfare.
Since the lockdown started to ease in June they have brought in a number of new procedures and safety measures to ensure the safety of customers and staff. Customers have been dropping off their pooches in new ‘Doggy Drop off zone’ – either in a cage or attached to a lead station, with new perspex safety screens installed to separate customers and staff.
Staff have been equipped with PPE and all belongings including leads and collars are removed and taken with the owner.
Boo’s Pad have also introduced a new collection service for more vulnerable or less mobile clients. This involves collecting the dog from the client’s house, transporting it to the groomers and then dropping them back afterwards.
Claire Coutinho, MP for East Surrey, welcomed their efforts: “A big thanks to Isobelle and her team at Boo’s Pad for showing me the many safety procedures they have implemented as they bounce back from lockdown. It is really lovely to see a local business who have invested a lot of time in working out to keep you and your dog safe.
“I am delighted to hear of the success of their collection scheme and it is really encouraging to see businesses in East Surrey successfully adjusting and adapting as the UK eases out of lockdown.”
Isobelle Woodman, Director of Boo’s Pad, has enjoyed welcoming customers and their best friends back: “It has been wonderful welcoming back so many of our four-legged friends. The new safety procedures we have put in place are working well and have been well received by customers.
“We have seen some rather disastrous lockdown pooch haircuts and it has been really nice ensuring our customers leave feeling happy, knowing that their dog feels comfortable again not to mention smelling slightly better!”
